Contractor had a number of stories already built by the time the drawings were complete.
Design-build process buildings can allow the owner to occupy the building almost a year ahead of standard design-bid-build process project.
Construction in “competition” with the Allied Building at 9th and Locust
Both were being built at the same time and both needed plumbers, drywall contractors, and steel workers. This building finished first.

Step-back lighting controls, light shelves, glazing to maximize use of daylight
3 story granite base relates to architecture of Wells Fargo buildings to the south.
Lantern top has 100 – 45ft tall glass panels that enclosed a reception, training and conference area
