Voted 1 of the top 50 buildings of the twentieth century

2000 restoration and renovation by Shiffler and Associates

Cornice is made of painted copper

Commissioned by the local Masons and constructed for $190,000 ($4.6 million in 2012 $’s) Renovated in the fall of 2000 for a cost of $7.5 Million  ($10.1 million in 2012 $’s)

Structure was designed to hold five more stories

Contains two 4000 sq. ft. ballrooms

Rental space on 1st and 2nd floors was important to the fraternal order of Masons to pay for building.

New canopy was added at the Temple for the Performing Arts.

Provides protection for an outdoor restaurant seating area and “pocket park”
