Built in 1880, as three attached storefronts this one of the last 22’ wide structures in the district
During the 1870s the building served as a confectionary shop run by Levy Wyant.
In 1884 the building was run as Pratt, Warren & Craig, a wholesale hardware store.
In 1890 Chevalier, Wright and Co. opened a wholesale fruit business here; stocking tropical fruits as well as domestic produce; the original banana coolers and candy storage cooler remain in the basement.
Walter Boyt Saddlery Company used the building starting in 1903.
Between 1900 and 1971 the property was owned by the Gilcrest Lumber Company and leased to various businesses including the Walter Boyt Saddlery Company, the US Register company and the H.B. Leiserowitz Company.
- While occupying this building the H.B. Leiserowitz Company, was originally a wholesale grocery business. Now the company, located at 13th and Mulberry is a family-owned, full service camera and photography business.
Sbrocco Fruit Company moved to the location in 1971.
- Michael Sbrocco was a gifted jazz drummer playing with major big bands; he returned to the family business to help his father in 1950 and ran it with his wife, Theresa for 30 years.
In June of 2008 the wine bar and restaurant, Sbrocco Wine opened.
Sbrocco Wine closed 2014.
