Twelve stories of Bedford limestone resting on a first floor of polished granite. The first floor interior was clad in Alaskan marble.

In 1947 expanded to lot next door to accommodate larger press room and news room.

In 1960 the classical façade was sheared off to install the current glass curtain wall.

Installed in 1950 the 6-foot aluminum globe manufactured Rand McNally was hand-painted. The globe has now been moved to the State Historical Library.

Originally KSO & KRNT Studios were on the top two floors; LOOK Magazine had offices on the 7th floor.

Two murals by Russell Cowles on the walls of the business office represented the Functions of the Newspaper and Freedom of Speech.

You can see elements of the original skin in the alley.
