Built in 1922, it replaced smaller 1880’s buildings on the site

Placed on the NRHP 2006 Criteria A & C

Architect/Builder: Vorse, Kraetsch & Kraetsch

Style: Commercial Style with Art Deco influences

Materials: brick with cast stone plaques with C.C. Taft Co. monogram

C.C. Taft Co. was a grocery wholesaler/broker and tobacco retailer until the 1960’s.

In 1956 Plumb Supply acquired the building shortly after a fire.

Repairs and improvements included use of metal columns and floor joists, a new roof, the addition of an elevator and the staircase in the northeast corner of the building.

Currently houses Legends, the Liar’s Club and People’s Court.
