Renovation of this 90 year-old commercial building was completed by Westgate Partnership and Flynn Wright advertising agency, who engaged Des Moines architects Walker Lorentzen Coen of Des Moines. Built as Kruidenier Cadillac Co. in 1920, it was typical of automotive showrooms of the day, and featured a monumental front showroom and a mezzanine, with automobile storage on the second floor.  A freight elevator took cars from floor to floor.  The adaptive re-use project included a complete front facade replacement, interior renovation, and modernization of the building’s infrastructure. As a tribute to the historical significance, the historic mosaic tile and plaster moldings were preserved or replicated.
