Designed by Proudfoot & Bird, it was built in 1901 for Warfield, Pratt & Howell Co. as a warehouse. In 1909 the three bays were added to the east side of the building. Built in the Chicago commercial style, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. Prior to restoration the L.H. Kurtz Co operated from the building.
