The corporate headquarters for Ruan Transportation and Bankers Trust, the buildings were designed by Des Moines architects Kendall Griffith Russell Artiaga in 1975. The buildings include a granite plaza and a travertine interior. A Cor-Ten steel alloy exterior was chosen, since it naturally weathers to a rich brown and does not require painting. It remained the tallest building in Iowa from 1975 – 1991.
